Saint David of Wales

2011

We started the day reading a great story about Saint David from Once Upon A Time Saints.  It was said that David would do anything to prove his trust in God.

After reading this we did some crafts from DLTK’s website, which has lots of ideas for Saint David’s Day fun!
The little ones had a great time making Saint David and knight figures, which ended up as part of the supper table setting .
Catholic Cuisine is an awesome site to visit for fun in the kitchen!
I dictated the poem Daffoldils by Wordsworth while my daughter wrote  on pretty paper.
We then headed over to Enchanted Learning and studied this great info on Wales.

We studied the Welsh flag,

which were then all put into a basic lapbook.
Afterwards we made a quick trip to the grocery store and found leeks to cook for supper.
My daughter was a huge help chopping potatoes and bacon for the soup, which hubby said was delicious!
It’s also the perfect day to pick daffodils and tell Jesus we trust in Him!
